Little Ruth Children’s Collection Ready-to-Use Activity Kits turn our picture books into hands-on learning experiences that help children explore ideas, practice skills, and engage with stories in meaningful ways. Two types of Activity Kits are available, depending on how much support you’d like, the number of children you’re working with, and whether you’d like an author visit.

Self-Guided Activity Kits
$20-$25 per kit
Bulk discounts available starting at 10 kits
Self-guided kits are designed for independent implementation and include everything needed to guide children through story-based activities.
Each kit includes student materials and activity guidance that help children:
- Explore story themes, ideas, and skills related to:
- Literacy & Reading Comprehension
- Creative & STEM / STEAM Thinking
- Social-Emotional Learning & Self-Confidence
- Problem-Solving, Teamwork & Community Building
- Participate in hands-on activities
- Work independently or collaboratively

Guided Activity Kits
$45–$55 per kit–per child
Bulk discounts available starting at 10 kits
Price includes fees for faculty/staff training, student outcomes evaluation, and lesson planning assistance by the Little Ruth team.
Guided kits include the same student materials as our self-guided kits, plus white-glove planning and support from the Little Ruth team.
White Glove support includes:
- Customized lesson planning
- Implementation support
- Support evaluating student outcomes to tailor activities
This kit is great for schools and programs that want rich, hands-on learning for their students and training for their educators, and don’t want to adapt or manage the details of lesson planning and evaluation on their own.
