Little Ruth Children's Collection

The Little Ruth Children’s Collection is a children’s publishing and education company focused on (1) literacy and reading comprehension, (2) social emotional learning and development, and (3) problem solving and community building.  Our collection includes children’s books along with ancillary learning materials that feature the shared experiences of children and their families. 

Our Books

Every story focuses on the experiences of Little Ruth, her friends—Sofia, Charlotte, Chris, Lily, Zoe—or one of their siblings.  With topics such as making new friends on the first day of school, giving and getting second chances, and using creativity to solve a Halloween costume conundrum, every book captures the magical moments when seemingly ordinary experiences become extraordinary developmental milestones for children.  

Extension Materials

In addition to stories that provide a strong foundation in life lessons for children, each book features a full suite of learning materials and experiences available for schools, nonprofits, and other educational organizations and programs:

• Classroom learning guides focused on reading comprehension, social emotional learning, community building, and problem solving.  
• Little Ruth’s Little Readers to support literacy, phonics, and sight word recognition.
• Author visits from Dee Write or other Little Ruth Collection authors to share their stories with students.
• Educational workshops to build critical thinking, writing, and creative art skills.
• Book clubs (coming in Fall 2025) to support language arts and literary analysis skill building, character- and confidence-building, and peer-to-peer connection.
